Hosoi Skateboards was founded by Christian Hosoi in 1984, first being distributed through Skull Skates and then through NHS/Santa Cruz. In the 1980’s, Christian Hosoi reached legendary status as a professional skateboarder with his fluid style and big airs. Hosoi Skateboards released his signature and iconic Hammerhead model which proved to be so popular that it was counterfeited. The brand eventually folded in the 1990’s but was revived by Hosoi in the mid 2000’s and is now a Christian based skateboard company.
